RIFLE & ARCHERY

There are few places like Alaska when it comes to hunting North American big game. You can hunt Grizzly Bear and other game with your bow or rifle. Rest assured, you’ll go home with a story worth telling.

Some success stories have appeared on national hunting shows. Jackie Bushman has hunted with Norton Sound Guide Service several times. Watch his rifle and bow Grizzly hunts on the Outdoor Channel’s “The Jackie Bushman Show.” Bob Foulkrod has also successfully hunted both spring and fall season Grizzly.

GRIZZLY BEAR

The spring season is conducted by snowmobile or boat. The fall season utilize 4-wheel drive ATV’s in the backcountry hunting grounds or boats along the river and coastline.

BLACK BEAR

Generally, black bear are taken along with the grizzly hunt in the backcountry or along the river.

CARIBOU

The season is open year-round, but the hunts generally occur from August 10th to November. The early August and September hunts are conducted using 4-wheel drive ATV’s. The October and November hunts use snowmobiles to access prime hunting grounds.
